Ring with sapphire – US 6 1/2

This ring was made as part of a small collection for a jewelry course that I was taking and will remain one of a kind.

Unlike my usual work, this ring was not cast using jewellers’ wax, but rather fabricated directly by shaping pieces of recycled precious metal. Its shoulders are hand engraved, and it holds a dark green Australian sapphire in 14k (585) gold prongs, complemented by two black cubic zirconia (synthetic) stones.
