Dendritic agate spinner pendant

It all started with a double sided dendritic agate – something that you don’t come across very often. Making a double sided pendant wasn’t challenging enough, and so this spinner pendant was born.

The inner detail spins freely, making the whole thing eligible to be called a “fidget” pendant, but the different sides of the outer circle also give you the option to wear the pendant in different ways (although honestly it’s hard to imagine someone not choosing the gold-leaf side).

The pendant is fully hand fabricated and features the techniques of reticulation – heating up a piece of metal almost to the point of melting, which provides a lovely distressed texture, and Keum-boo – a method of applying 23 ct gold leaf by hand.
